Reiko Hayashi Appointed as a Board Member
The Global Fund for Educational Support (Beyond Tomorrow) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Reiko Hayashi, President of UN Women National Committee Japan, as a member of its Board of Directors.
Since Beyond Tomorrow was established in the aftermath of the Great East Japan Earthquake, Ms. Hayashi has supported the organization as an external partner and has witnessed the growth and achievements of its scholars over the years.
Upon her appointment, Ms. Hayashi shared the following message:
“Since Beyond Tomorrow was founded in the wake of the Great East Japan Earthquake, I have had the privilege of supporting its activities as an external partner. Throughout this journey, I have seen students draw strength from the Beyond Tomorrow community—a place where they feel safe and supported—and grow tremendously as they take on new challenges. Their resilience has inspired and encouraged me as well.
Society is changing at an unprecedented pace. As the saying goes, ‘Adversity creates great leaders.’ I believe that the young people who have learned and grown through Beyond Tomorrow are well equipped to become trusted leaders in this unpredictable world. As a member of the Board, I look forward to supporting them as they continue to spread their wings and shape the future.”
With Ms. Hayashi’s extensive experience and leadership, Beyond Tomorrow will continue to strengthen its mission of empowering young people who have faced adversity to realize their full potential and become leaders who contribute to society.
